Kiwanis International

Kiwanis is a community service organization where it's members range in age from 19 to 90 or older and it has been around since 1915. Each Kiwanis club does it's own service projects as well as the one's that were created by Kiwanis International.
This years Kiwanis International large scale project is the ELIMINATE project. Kiwanians and the K-family which includes Circle-K and other clubs are going to work together to eliminate Maternal/ Neonatal Tetanus in the 40 countries in the Western part of the world that do not have the vaccine for this disease. Kiwanis has teamed up with UNICEF in order to make this project financially stronger. Just for a statistical fact: 1 baby dies every 9 minutes from MNT. Kiwanians are going to be raising money for this project and some are even going to go to these countries to help get the vaccines to the small villages that are hard to reach.
